Economic Mission Zambia & Zimbabwe

As announced, a CBL-ACP economic mission is being organized from 19th to 22nd January in Zambia and from 22nd to 26th January in Zimbabwe. This mission is organized in cooperation with Federal Foreign Affairs, AWEX and FIT.

The official meetings will be organised simultaneously with these « open days ».
Open Day – Details of each trip will be determined later and the following activities are not included in the registration fees:

1) Trip to Bulawayo ( 2 days):

• Summary: Bulawayo is the second largest city and one of the industrial hubs of Zimbabwe. Members of the Mission who choose to go to Bulawayo will have the opportunity to meet with local leaders in business and government.
• Sectors: Manufacturing, Transport, Construction, etc.

2) Trip to Victoria Falls (2 days):

• Summary: The worlds largest waterfall, the Victoria Falls are situated on the Zambezi River. Members of the Mission who choose to visit Victoria Falls will have the opportunity to see a stunning natural wonder and learn more about local business.
• Sectors: Tourism 

3) Trip to Mining Region ( 1 day) :

• Summary: Mining is one of the largest sectors of Zimbabwe’s economy, contributing to roughly 8% of the country’s GDP according to the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development. Members of the Mission who chose to visit the Mining Region will learn about the various economic opportunities within Zimbabwe’s mining industry.

CBL-ACP Participation fees 

  • CBL-ACP members : 1 150€
  • Non-members : 1 450€ with the possibility of a one-year membership in the CBL-ACP on favourable terms

This cost includes the pre-organisation in Belgium and the organization of all activities in Zambia and in Zimbabwe, the organisation of B2B & B2G meetings, transfers, all local transports, the use of conference rooms, support from local organisations, lunches, coffee breaks.

The registration is only confirmed after the payment of the fees.

Emirates offers a special price of €820 (all taxes included, return, eco class) for the mission.
